Mexico's rising star, gymnast Elsa Garcia is by far the greatest gymnast that this country has ever produced. She was born February 8th 1990 in Monterrey México at the "Ginequito" Hospital. Where Mexico's notable gymnasts have been successful on one or two particular events, Garcia has mastered all 4 events to Olympic caliber. Already, Garcia has won numerous medals in the international circuit having already defeated some of the best gymnasts in the world. A leg stress fracture kept her from performing at her peak at last year's World Championships which serve as the official qualification for the Olympic Games in Beijing therefore was unable to qualify as an individual.
Garcia has a long future in the sport if she choses to continue for the next few years. Mexico could definitely benefit from her experience and difficult skills.
I look forward to seeing this talented gymnast further her career a few years and possibly hold out until the next Olympic Games.
